150 Years Of Kasturba and Gandhi

2020

THE TIMELINE
2018-2020
3 years for peace

The idea behind the creation of the Jai Jagat 2020 is the building of a platform for people from all over the world to connect and take action for global change. The Jai Jagat 2020 is designed as a facilitating body to empower people and offer them guidances to conduct nonviolent actions in their own localities.

Therefore, we invite you to join the Jai Jagat 2020 Campaign by leading a local/subnational nonviolent initiative in your own country.

The Jai Jagat 2020 team will help you organise by offering guidances, support and access to a network of other organisations working for the same cause. The Campaign is designed as a space to come together and learn techniques for building a giant, cross-cultural, global movement of peace leaders.

Phase 1/
LOCAL ACTION
2017-2018
Phase 2/
GLOBAL ADVOCACY
2019-2020

While you conduct nonviolent actions in your localities, the Jai Jagat 2020 team is working on planning the second phase of the Campaign which takes your action global.

The ultimate objective of the Campaign is to pressure international institutions to advance the survival agenda of nature and people by directly addressing them.

Therefore, the Jai Jagat 2020 Campaign is working on building a global advocacy for change. This advocacy platform is based on the work of our Advocacy Groups, which are working on eight different societal issues, and which are drafting conclusions from your own actions.

To conclude this Campaign, local to global solidarity will be promoted through a one-year Global Peace March and a Geneva’s People’s Action Forum. Those events want to bring together a large number of young people to reconstruct a world that gives hope and values peace.
